Profile
Early 19th century Granary in hill country. Sleeps two/four with view over farmland. Antique furniture compliments surroundings. Excellent walking, cycling. Pets welcome.
The Granary is part of the early thirteenth Century Stable quadrangle serving the Old Vicarage with the original stabling and carriage buildings on three sides of it. The detached building looks over undulating Shropshire pasture land and woodland. It is great country for walking where the breathtaking views over seven counties can be inhaled.
The combined sitting room and dining area has a good quality sprung sofa bed and the galley style kitchen has everything you need for your stay. The library is something we are very proud of especially if you like antiques, old houses and books on the countryside. The bedroom has two full size twin beds, and the bathroom has a bath but no shower.
Hot water, central heating, colour TV/video are all included. Pillows, duvets and blankets are provided but please bring your own covers, sheets and towels. If this is not possible linen can be provided as long as we know. There is a telephone based on an honesty box contribution (01746 712031). Also a laundry room.
The menagerie of animals at the Old Vicarage includes goats, pigs, horses, ducks, geese and so on, so we don’t mind if you add to it! All animals are an important part of our lives.
The village has a good pub, shops, butcher, post office and surgery.
